Pettycur Bay
PettycurBay is a small, sheltered, sandy bay backed by sand dunes. It is an ideal spot to stop off and enjoy the breathtaking views of the Firth of Forth. The beach has been awarded a Seaside Beach Award for several years.
As the tide recedes at Pettycur, it exposes a huge area of sand and mud flats which go all the way out to the Black Rocks and all the way west to Burntisland beach which at extreme low tide and with care it is possible to walk to. Access to Kinghorn is via A921 by car/bus and 5 minutes walk from the train station.
Pettycur Beach has won Fife's 2012 Blue Flag Award. For more information got to www.keepscotlandbeautiful.org/coastal
