NHS Fife can confirm that a cluster of 25 staff and residents at Craigie House Care Home, Crossgates, have tested positive for COVID-19.

NHS Fife’s Health Protection Team and the Fife Health and Social Care Partnership are working closely with Fife Council’s Environmental Health department to support to the management of the care home and offer advice to reduce further transmission of the virus.

Visiting at Craigie House Care Home is currently suspended.

It is extremely important that those intending to visit residents in any care home refrain from doing so if they feel unwell or have any of the known symptoms of COVID-19, such as a high temperature; a new, continuous cough; or a loss or change to the sense of smell or taste.

Anyone experiencing the well-established symptoms of COVID-19 should immediately self-isolate and arrange a test using the NHS inform website www.nhsinform.scot or by calling 0800 028 2816.
