Alan McLure Care Home praised

Alan McLure House, a Fife Council-run Care Home, has received very good grades for all areas inspected in a recent Care Inspectorate inspection.

The service was found to be very good in all aspects of Quality of Care and Support; Quality of Environment; Quality of Staffing and Quality of Management and Leadership.

Stephen Moore, Executive Director of Social Work Services said: “The health and well being of people in our care is at the very heart of everything that we do. I am delighted that the Care Inspectorate has been to Alan McLure House and, that we have achieved high standards of care and management.

“Staff have worked very hard to continue to improve the service that we provide and I am pleased that the Care Inspectorate were able to report back on this. We take improvements very seriously and Alan McLure has put in place a number of innovative initiatives to improve outcomes for people living here.

“We will continue to work hard to support people in our care.”

Alison Marrs Unit Manager added: “The team are delighted with our latest Care Inspectorate report.  These grades reflect the hard work of the team in partnership with our Service Users, family representatives and the Care Inspectorate to ensure better outcomes for our residents.  Our focus is to continue to improve outcomes for those who live at Alan McLure House.”

Councillor Judy Hamilton, Executive Spokesperson for Social Work and Health welcomed the report saying: “This is a really positive report for Alan McLure the staff have clearly worked hard to provide the very best level of care and support for residents – this is exactly what we want for all of our homes.”
