Making Cornish Pasties!
Summer Tasters Inverkeithing Community Flat
The Summer Tasters in Inverkeithing Community Flat have been concentrating the last two weeks on doing some cooking. They meet on Tuesday afternoon from 11am till 1pm, in 76 Fraser Avenue. Last week they made stovies. This Tuesday they made Cornish Pasties! The cooking tasters were led by enthusiastic Community Education Worker, Lucy Barker. ‘I get the recipes off the BBC Good Food web page on www.bbcgoodfood.com. The recipes are easy peasy!’, Lucy said
You can make your own pastry but Lucy had got some shortcut pastry from the supermarket. Local learners Rachel and Chris really enjoyed making them. Rachel said, ‘What we need is some gravy and promptly popped across to her house to get some Bisto granules!’ Chris like them as well but felt the beef could have been a bit more tender. ‘Yes, if the beef had been cooked a bit more before being baked they would have been perfect!’
Why not come along.
