Riverside Park in spring
The final part of the very successful participatory budgeting project in Glenrothes is now starting. We are asking children who attend primary school in the Glenrothes area to create a design for a Totem Pole.
UR Park U Decide have a total of six blank Totem Poles which will be sited in Riverside Park at points of interest. We would like you to choose one of these themes
Diamond Jubilee
Olympic Games
Titanic Disaster
and draw a design to be painted on the totems.
Schools in the Glenrothes area have received details of this competition but you or your parents can download the information and blank template for the design from this web site (see publications). The closing date for this project is Friday 22nd June.
Many of these designs will be on show in Kingdom Centre or at Riverside Festival in July. When the final winners are chosen at the end of the summer holidays, they will be invited to come to Riverside Park and help paint the Totems.
Come on all of Glenrothes - take part and let your talents and imaginations make our Totems unique
