The Great Glenrothes Hippo Parade

The Great Hippo Parade is back for 2012. The launch party is being held on Saturday 16th June in Lyons Square, Kingdom Shopping Centre, Glenrothes at 1.30pm
Seventeen local Primary Schools have been transforming our adult hippos, at the same time as fifteen local Nurseries have been giving our baby hippos a make over. The children’s only direction is this years theme, Friends from Across the World.
The winning Primary School and Nursery will each receive a great package of prizes including £500 and a years sponsorship of the Hippo enclosure at Edinburgh Zoo. To celebrate 50 years of the Glenrothes Gazette, Adam Smith college have decorated an adult hippo to represent their achievements over the years.
Track down all the Hippos and vote for your favourite. Vote online through the Kingdom Shopping Centre Facebook page or pick up a voting from at the Information Desk.
Working in partnership with CHAS the event will help to raise awareness of the fantastic, vital work undertaken by the hospice. Children at Rachel House have also decorated an adult and baby hippo which will take pride of place in the centre
