Senior managers of NHS Fife have met with Tricia Marwick MSP and Lindsay Roy MP to discuss further the review of PCES and proposals for the realignment of PCES in Central Fife.

Susan Manion, NHS Fife Executive Lead for PCES, said: “NHS Fife is committed to building on the engagement work that is already under way, and we are clear that further discussion needs to take place with local councillors and community groups to explain issues and options for the provision of PCES in Fife.

“The meeting with Mrs Marwick and Mr Roy provided us with the opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to further local engagement.”

John Wilson, Chief Executive of NHS Fife, who met personally with Mrs Marwick and Mr Roy last week, said: “NHS Fife is committed to ensuring patient safety and improving the quality of care that we provide to all patients who need to attend the Out-of-Hours service across Fife.

“No decision on the proposals in relation to provision in Central Fife will be taken until we have engaged in further discussions and listened to all comments and feedback.”
