Opening of link bridge at Victoria Hospital

Link Bridge
The permanent link bridge between Theatres Level I of the new wing and the old A&E at Victoria Hospital Kirkcaldy has opened ahead of schedule.
The link will be used by staff and patients, who are accompanied by staff, to connect services between the new build and existing estate facilities.
Chair of the Operational Division, Dave Stewart, said: “I very much welcome the early completion of the link bridge which will facilitate easier flow of patients and staff between the three parts of the hospital.
As soon as the adjacent ground works are complete, it will improve ambulance access to the new Accident and Emergency and will allow us to install further additional car parking in the immediate surrounding area.”
