Launch of the NHS Fife Research Bursaries for 2012.
The NHS Fife Research Bursary Scheme aims to promote and encourage awareness, understanding and experience of research among healthcare professionals, increasing research capacity & capability within NHS Fife
The fund will provide bursaries ranging from £100 up to a maximum of £15,000.
What Type of Support is on Offer
-
Development work associated with preparing a research protocol/grant application.

Payment of staff salaries to enable release from duties and provide back-fill to undertake research
-
Other discrete activities associated with the development (or completion) of a piece of healthcare research, including a pilot study
-
Consumables, postage & printing
-
Applications for equipment may be considered in exceptional circumstances
Who can apply?
Applications to the bursary scheme will be considered from all clinical and non-clinical areas, providing the applicant is an employee of NHS Fife and the proposed research involves patients or services provided.
The scheme favours applications from new researchers, with support / involvement from a relevant, experienced researcher. However, support can be provided through the R&D Resource Centre.
