Profile

The Scottish Lime Centre Trust is a centre for excellence for traditinal building skills. We provide specialist advice and training in the use of lime-based materials for the conservation and repair of Scotland's traditional buildings. We offer, through "Charlestown Workshops", a range of training workshops and longer courses for homeowners, industry, and professionals. We have also undertaken several outreach projects aimed at all sections of the community including primary and secondary schools. We also offer, through the "Traditional Buildings Consultancy Service", a specialist on-site consultancy and a materials analysis service, to investigate and advise on problems and repairs for traditional masonry buildings.
