Explanation of Terms use on Planning Online
Planning Online shows information taken directly from the Council's application
management system. The information is live and continuously updated. Most of the terms
used are straightforward but below is an explanation of some of the terms the system
uses which may be different from the normal meaning.
- Received - That an application has been received by the Council but as yet has not been checked to make sure that it is complete. I.e. correct fee, correct certificates, adequate plans etc
- Invalid - That an application has been received but has been assessed as not being complete. I.e. incorrect fee, incorrect or incomplete certificates, inadequate plans etc.
- Pending Consideration - That an application has been formally registered and allocated to a Case Officer and is being currently being worked upon. No decision has as yet been reached.
- Pending Decision - That the Case Officer has made a recommendation but the Council has not yet made a formal decision. This can occur for a variety of reasons, for example, the application will be considered at the next Area Development Committee.
