Most wigs supplied are ready to wear Modacrylic units which, with care, should last 6 months. Your consultant can give more information about allowances and replacements.
Wig supply is based on the current NHS Scotland prescription charges i.e. currently free of charge. This includes the cost of minor alterations. Customisation and additional styling may be provided at a cost to you. Please check with the salon at the start of your visit.
Referral routes
Patients are referred by their consultant and will be contacted with information on the service and asked to confirm where they would like to attend.
Locations
A clinic is heald once each month at the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy, and every Tuesday at Queen Margaret Hospital in Dunfermline.
