Activities

There are lots of leisure activities for older people in Fife, from cultural events to sporting opportunities or organised social activities.

Apart from numerous parks, open spaces and access to Leisure Centres, the council offers specific areas of activities targeted at older people such as mature swimming lessons, Tai Chi, 50+ activities, bowling and yoga.

Contact the Active Fife team to help you find out what's on offer in your area that is suited to your ability.

Fifestyle: Fifestyle is the council's concession card scheme offering families and individuals discounts to various council services. A bonus card is available for people who are not entitled to a concession. Cardholders can receive great savings of up to 50%. Click here to visit the Fifestyle website.

Day Centres: There are 9 day centres in Fife that provide day care to older people. Taking part in activities at a day centre can stop you from becoming socially isolated and encourage your independance.

We provide transport to and from your home and all of our transport is equipped with wheelchairs and a tail lift.

When you arrive at the day centre you can enjoy breakfast, some planned activity and a two-course lunch.

All of the activites are planned over a four week period, a small charge applies. Click here for more information on our Day Centres.
