Across Fife there are members of staff, relatives, friends and carers who are all knitting twiddlemuffs. A twiddlemuff is a knitted muff with items such as buttons, beads and ribbons attached that a patient with dementia can twiddle in their hands. People with dementia often have restless hands and like to have something to keep their hands occupied.

The team of knitters are desperate for more wool.

If you have any left over wool, or buttons, ribbons, beads etc please send them to

Helen Skinner (Alzheimer Scotland Dementia Nurse Consultant)

Office 3, Level 12,

Phase 2, Victoria Hospital.

Many thanks.
