Congratulations to our staff and volunteers awarded honours in the Queen Honours List 2017.

Consultant Gastroenterologist, John Wilson, MBE:

John started working with NHS Fife in 1987 and has spent 30 years with the health board. During his time with NHS Fife, John has also served as a Senior Lecturer at St Andrew’s University and Vice President of the Royal College of Physicians in Edinburgh.

He said: “I look at life through an endoscope but I was both pleasantly surprised and astonished to receive my letter in the post. I was sitting at home and noticed I had received a letter in a Cabinet Office envelope. My initial thought was ‘have I paid my taxes?’ but to my disbelief and surprise it was to let me know I would be receiving an honour.”

Clinical Director Public Dental Service, Dawns Adams, OBE:

Dawn is a leader in the dental industry where her contribution to community dental health has been outstanding.
