Name: Anne Hay
From: Kirkcaldy
Where do you volunteer? “I do the meet and greets at the front door of the Victoria Hospital once a week. I give people directions, talk to them, and provide comfort, if necessary. I’m also wheelchair trained and a large part of my job is hunting down wheelchairs for patients coming in to hospital.”
How long have you volunteered? “I’ve been volunteering for five years.”
What would your advice be to anyone considering volunteering? “Do it. Volunteering is the most rewarding job in the world and I’m blessed to be able to do it."
