It’s Volunteer’s Week 2017! Across NHS Fife, we’ve got some fantastic volunteers and over the next few days we’ll meet some of those who give up their time to support patients in our hospitals. Introducing Liz Lindsay.

Where do you volunteer: “I’m part of a volunteering pilot project with Alzheimer’s Scotland and usually volunteer twice a week, at the Dementia Resource Centre and the Victoria Hospital. My specialist skills mean I specifically volunteer with patients with dementia, chatting to them, playing cards and records etc.”
How long have you volunteered?” I’ve been volunteering for four and a half years, one year at the Vic.”
What would your advice be to anyone considering volunteering? “Volunteering is very rewarding and challenges you every week. If you like talking to people then my advice would be to go for it.”
