Kirkcaldy (Raith) Rotary Club has kindly donated £250.00 to the Playlist for Life project in NHS Fife.
Playlist for Life taps into personally meaningful music to improve the lives of people with dementia, their family and their carers.
Uncovering an individual's playlist then downloading it to an iPod allows us to use that music as part of their care whilst in hospital.
NHS Fife is very grateful for the generous donation from Kirkcaldy Rotary Club which will allow us to buy more iPods, headphones, splitter cables and iTunes vouchers.
The wards currently using Playlist for life are Ward 5 QMH, Ward 6 QMH, Ward 1 St Andrews Hospital, Ward 1 Glenrothes Hospital, Balgonie Ward Cameron Hospital and Bayview Ward Stratheden.
If you would like more information about Playlist for Life or to donate an old iPod please contact Helen Skinner (Alzheimer Scotland Dementia Nurse Consultant) on helen.skinner@nhs.net or 01592 643355 x28429
