We want to give a special mention to Senior Charge Nurse, Olivia Robertson, and her team of peer immunising #flufighters at Glenrothes Hospital.
Not only have staff in Ward 3 been the first area to report 100% of staff being successfully offered and vaccinated against flu, they have managed to ensure that 100% of eligible patients have been vaccinated too.
Olivia said: “We know that flu can be dangerous for even those of us in good health. The patients we care for are particularly at risk, and for them flu can be potentially life threatening.
“Our team here at Glenrothes Hospital have really got behind this year’s flu campaign and have pulled out all the stops, not only to protect themselves but to protect those around them, and in particular our patients.”
This is flu fighting at it’s very best!
