Take care in the winter weather. Snow is falling in many areas and overnight there’s an increased risk of ice, meaning that some surfaces will be slippy and people may be vulnerable to falling.
Follow Police advice if you’re travelling or commuting.
Fife Council gritters are already out and about clearing and treating roads and pavements and they will continue to monitor conditions.
If you’re out and about make sure you have sensible shoes with good grips. Appropriate footwear can be the difference between a painful fall and a safe, injury free winter.

Assisting neighbours and friends who may be unable to clear their own paths, or who need to use local paths to access services can also make a big difference.
