NHS Fife can confirm that an individual with links Royal Mail Delivery Office in Dunfermline has tested positive for COVID-19.
The positive case is experiencing mild symptoms and is isolating at home with family members.
Contact tracers are in the process of identifying and tracing the close contacts of the positive cases to provide public health support and advice.
There is no evidence at this stage of any transmission within the delivery office, however, as a precaution staff working in the facility are being informed of the positive case and been asked to be vigilant of the signs and symptoms of the virus.
Anyone experiencing the well-established symptoms of COVID-19, such as a high temperature; a new, continuous cough; or a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste, is urged to arrange testing using the UK Government Citizens’ Portal or by calling 0800 028 2816.
