NHS Fife can confirm that some disruption to services at Northglen Medical Practice in Glenrothes will continue for week commencing 16th November after a number of practice staff were required to isolate following contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19.

The practice continues to be open; however, it remains necessary to cancel a small number of routine appointments  for staffing reasons. Those patients affected are being contacted directly by the practice to rearrange their appointment.

The practice asks that patients do not telephone the practice unless their matter is urgent.  This is to keep the telephone lines free for their most frail and vulnerable patients who may need urgent care.

There is no disruption to repeat prescriptions and those requiring urgent review or assessment can continue to do by submitting an online consult form or contacting the practice by telephone if they do not have internet access or are unable to complete a form.

It is important that anyone experiencing the well-established symptoms of COVID-19 should immediately self-isolate and arrange a test using the NHS inform website at: www.nhsinform.scot or by calling 0800 028 2816.

A local online support hub has been created to provide information on testing for COVID-19 and updates on the pandemic. Visit: www.nhsfife.org/coronavirus.
