Janette has previously served as NHS Fife’s Associate Director of Nursing.
Janette has more than 35 years' experience in variety of roles across NHS Scotland and joined NHS Fife in 2002 as Deputy Director of Nursing in Acute Services. The current Director of Nursing is Helen Buchanan who is retiring early next year.
In welcoming the new appointment Carol Potter, Chief Executive of NHS Fife pointed to Janette's considerable experience, strong leadership during the current challenging circumstances and her outstanding work as Associate Director of Nursing.
On accepting the appointment Ms Owens said that she was delighted to serve in this role and committed to ensuring that NHS Fife continues to provide the best possible care for people across Fife.
