Following the announcement from Buckingham Palace of the death of His Royal Highness, The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, a period of National Mourning has started and will continue until the morning after the funeral.

Public Services are expected to continue throughout the mourning period in the same way that they are operating during the COVID-19 pandemic.

On Saturday 17th April, The Duke of Edinburgh's Funeral will take place at Windsor Castle. Before the coffin enters St. George’s Chapel, there will be a National Minute Silence at 1500 hrs.

NHS Fife staff, patients and visitors will be asked to observe this as appropriate.  There is also an opportunity to sign a Book of Condolence at www.royal.uk
