Following a formal recruitment process, NHS Fife is pleased to announce the appointment of Margo McGurk as the Health Board’s new Director of Finance and Strategy.
Margo has previously served as NHS Fife’s Interim Director of Finance and also takes on the role as the Board’s Senior Information Risk Officer (SIRO).
Margo has more than 20 years' experience in variety of Finance roles across NHS Scotland, most recently at NHS24 and in the higher education sector.
The role of Director of Finance was previously held by Carol Potter, prior to her appointment as NHS Fife Chief Executive earlier this year.
Margo McGurk, NHS Fife Director of Finance, said: "I am delighted to join NHS Fife. The organisation has a fantastic reputation for quality and innovation.
“I am looking forward to formally taking up this post and working with colleagues across the organisation to ensure that we deliver the most effective allocation of resources and have a sustainable financial base as we respond to the global coronavirus pandemic and into the future."
Carol Potter, NHS Fife Chief Executive, said: "I am delighted to announce the appointment of someone of Margo's calibre to this significant role within the NHS Fife. She has a distinguished track record within the NHS and academia. I know that her knowledge and experience will serve NHS Fife well as we navigate through these challenging times."
