Dr Margaret Hannah Appointed as NHS Fife's New Director of Public Health

NHS Fife is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Margaret Hannah as the Board’s new Director of Public Health.

Margaret has gathered more than two decades experience in the National Health Service, having began her career as a junior doctor in hospital medicine in England before becoming a General Practitioner in Hong Kong.

Having returned to the UK, Margaret took up her post as Consultant in Public Health Medicine with NHS Fife in 1996. Margaret, who combines her duties with her role as an Honorary Senior Lecturer with the University of St Andrews, has acted as the Board’s Interim Director of Public Health since 1 October 2015, having served as Deputy Director of Public Health since 2008.

“Margaret brings a great deal of experience to the role, gathered across a number of posts within the UK and further afield.
“I look forward to working alongside Margaret in her new role as we work towards improving the health and wellbeing of the population of Fife.
