Successful learners with Morag Scott (Specialist OT)

Seven members of staff have successfuly completed the Best Practice in Dementia Care Progamme based on materials from the Dementia Services Development Centre at Stirling. The course was facilitated internally by Morag Scott, Specialist Occupational Therapist and Dementia Champion based at Glenrothes Hospital . The programme was developed by Stirling University and is an SCQT and City & Guild Accredited course. It also meets the Skilled  Practitioner Level in the Dementia Promoting Excellence Framework.

The successful leaners can now implement a person-centred approach and provide evidence based interventions in Dementia Care.

Feedback from the group was very positive saying that the course helped them understand dementia better and how dementia impacts on individuals and their families giving them tools and an understanding of available resources to help.
