British Heart Foundation 'Diabetes and the Heart' Presentation - 20th October 2018
Published: Wednesday 17 Oct 2018
MEETING FOR PEOPLE LIVING WITH DIABETES; THEIR PARTNERS; THEIR FRIENDS AND ANYONE WITH AN INTEREST IN DIABETES
The British Heart Foundation have agreed to give a presentation on "Diabetes and the Heart" and explain the difference between cardiac arrest and a cardiac attack.
Diabetes causes damage to your blood vessels. This makes you two to three times more likely to develop heart and circulatory conditions like coronary heart disease, stroke and vascular dementia.
There will also be a demonstration of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and people will have a chance to try this if they wish.
As a donation for the presentation they would like those attending to bring items to sell in their BHF Charity shops locally in Fife
