Tree of Life

Tree of Life

Earlier this morning we were joined by midwifery student Heather Gilchrist, who brought along her fantastic Tree of Life.

The Tree is a collection of different coloured thumb prints from midwives across Scotland, including gold prints to represent midwives no longer with us.

Our midwives at the Vic added new green prints to the Tree, whilst gold prints were added to remember Pam Cooke and Linda Jones.

UWS Tree of Life celebrates the role of the midwife and is travelling Scotland ahead of International Day of the Midwife on the 5th of May this year.
