Cigarette Stub

Giving up smoking is the best thing you can do to improve your own health. Stopping smoking can save you money and help you look and feel healthier. You are four times more likely to stop smoking if you get support.

If you are keen to stop smoking there is help available in your local area:

Meet with a Stop Smoking Advisor and get 1:1 support throughout your QUIT attempt. 1:1 stop smoking support is more likely to help you stop and remain stopped. You can contact your local Surgery or Health Centre to book an appointment directly or call 0800 025 3000 (free to call from landlines).

Quitfit at Cowdenbeath Leisure Centre on Tuesday evenings combines stop smoking support with access to a FREE four week gym and swim pass at participating Fife Sport and Leisure Trust Centres. Drop-in at 5.30pm for your first visit and 6pm thereafter.

Groups are very relaxed and informal and are run by trained facilitators. Group support provides an opportunity for quitters to share how they are getting on - their ups and downs - and provide general encouragement. The groups run for an average of seven weeks. Group support may be available at a local venue in your area. For more information contact us on 0800 025 3000.

Contact (01592) 648124 or   07766028893 or 07765897165 to make an appointment with a Specialist Midwife.

No Butts is a drop-in service offered at all pharmacies throughout Fife. This offers a 12 week programme of individual support, advice and Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT). The pharmacy No Butts service is suited to those on the go and those needing support out of hours.
