Paediatrics and Young People under 18
The Fife Paediatric Diabetes Teamis responsible for the care of children and young people with diabetes (up to age of 18 years) across Fife. The Fife team is a mixture of doctors, nurses, dietitian, psychologists and support workers.

We run clinics at both the Diabetes Centre Victoria Hospital and in the Carnegie Unit at Queen Margaret Hospital.
Paediatric clinics – VHK-QMH are held on Tuesdays both in the morning and the afternoons. Paediatrics has a high HbA1c clinic which is a joint clinic with the Consultant and Psychologist.
Transition clinics (14-18years old) are held once monthly in the afternoon on a Tuesday at the VHK and bi monthly at QMH on a Thursday afternoon.
The NHS Fife paediatric team have developed a mobile app which provides information about diabetes, handy links, local information and much more.
