Improving the health and wellbeing of children and young people in Fife is one of the key priorities of Fife Health Promotion Service.

The different topic teams and the specialist Health Promotion Officer- Children & Young People develop and deliver early intervention and prevention activities in partnership with other agencies to reduce barriers and promote positive health and wellbeing outcomes for children and young people and enable them to reach their full potential.

The Children & Young People’s Health Promotion Officer aims to support vulnerable groups of children and young people by:

  • developing and supporting health promoting activities, resources, projects and programmes
  • supporting training and workforce development for organisations working with children and young people in Fife
  • reducing health inequalities by addressing the wider determents of health (i.e. child poverty)
