• Repeat Prescriptions

The Practice has a computerised prescription system which allows you to receive medication without having to see a doctor every time you need a repeat prescription.  The doctor will decide how often you should be seen for a medication review and you will be asked to make an appointment at the appropriate time.

You can request your repeat prescription in the following ways:

  1. Online

Repeat prescriptions can be ordered online, if you are registered for this service. If you are already registered for online appointment booking, then you will automatically have access to online repeat prescription ordering.

  1. Email

Inverkeithing patients:          fife-uhb.imgprescriptions@nhs.net

Dalgety Bay patients:          fife-uhb.dalgetybayscripts@nhs.net

Emailed requests will require the following information:

  • Full name
  • Date of birth
  • Address
  • Telephone number
  • Name of medication (as stated on your repeat prescription slip)
  • Dosage (as stated on your repeat prescription slip)
  • Name of Chemist (if a pharmacist collects your processed prescription)

Prescriptions will be ready for collection 48 hours after request.

The prescription email service is for repeat medication requests only.  Please refrain from using this for correspondence.

Please note that the internet is not a secure medium. Your prescription request will be processed in strict confidence within our Practice but we cannot guarantee its confidentiality/security over the internet.

  1. Prescription Re-order slip

Complete the prescription re-order slip by ticking the items required and either deliver or post to the Practice.  Please enclose an SAE if you want your processed prescription returned to you.

  1. Repeat prescription collection service

Your local Pharmacies can order and collect your repeat prescription if you give them consent to do so.  More details of this service can be obtained from Reception staff or the Pharmacist.

Please order your repeat prescription in adequate time for it to be processed by the practice and collected/dispensed by the pharmacist.
