How to request assistance from SLT
People who have concerns about a child or young person’s speech, language and/or communication needs can now complete a request for assistance online here
The Speech & Language Therapists would like to speak to an individual in the child/young person’s life who knows them well and who can talk about the concerns related to the child/young person’s needs. This can be the child/young person’s parent/carer, an individual from the child/young person’s school or a health or social care professional who is involved. Parent/carer permission/consent is required for any request for assistance.
The Speech & Language Therapist will have an initial conversation with the concerned person and agree the next steps. This information can then be shared with key individuals in the child/young person’s life as appropriate. You will be contacted to book the initial conversation.
It is recommended that you use Google Chrome to access our online request for assistance. The address is https://www.request.scot.health
