As a result of the global pandemic, how we provide services has had to change.

This is so that we can keep you and the NHS safe.

Urgent care means ‘when you suddenly become unwell and need to see a healthcare professional the same day but is not an emergency’. This includes urgent care for both mental and physical health.

This new process for getting the medical help you need is part of a new national initiative across all NHS Boards in Scotland. If you think you need to visit the Accident and Emergency department but it is not life-threatening, there is a new way to do that. You will need to call 111 first.

You can help us keep you and our NHS safe by using our services wisely.
