Improving Social Work Services in Fife

Fife Council’s Social Care services are an expression of its commitment to social justice.

Social care services play a vital part in maintaining social cohesion and in protecting the most vulnerable.

Our purpose is to strike the right balance between protecting children, young people, adults and older people who need support, and enabling them to enjoy ordinary living.

The Social Care is responsible for arranging social care for people and communities in Fife. Every day, the Service makes a real difference to people’s lives at times of personal or family need. Users of services are of all ages and from all parts of the community. The Service seeks to provide the right services to the right people at the right time and in a way that meets their needs and improves the quality of their lives; it protects and supports children, older people and adults; and helps people who have committed offences to change their behaviour.
