Director of Pharmacy and Medicines
Mr Hannan joined NHS Fife in February 2020 as Chief Pharmacist, Acute Services and was then appointed Deputy Director of Pharmacy & Medicines where he provided leadership and the vision to develop, implement and evolve an exciting and innovative programme of redesign and transform the pharmacy service.
A graduate of the University of Strathclyde, Ben holds postgraduate diplomas and degrees from Queens University Belfast, the University of Sunderland and the University of Birmingham. In 2020, Ben was appointed a Fellow of the Institute of Leadership and Management which is awarded to highly experienced senior managers acknowledged for their support, management and development of others.
Ben is delighted to have been appointed as Director of Pharmacy and Medicines for NHS Fife and to lead such an inspiring and dedicated team of professionals. He is looking forward to building on his experience as Deputy Director and to continue to work in partnership with colleagues across NHS Fife, Fife Health and Care Social Partnership and Community Pharmacy to deliver a responsive and accessible pharmacy service for Fife's community now and into the future.
