NHS Fife is providing an update after a further two cases linked to Pitreavie Primary School in Dunfermline tested positive for COVID-19.

All positive cases continue to experience relatively mild symptoms and are isolating at home with other household members.

While there is no evidence of transmission within the school, as a precaution staff and pupils from the Yellow Room, Orange Room and Blue Room must now self-isolate up to an including 08 October 2020, returning to school 09 October.

Contact tracers from the Test and Protect Team are in the process of identifying and tracing the known contacts of all positive cases to provide public health support and advice.

Anyone who develops any of the established symptoms of the virus, such as a fever; or a loss or change in taste or smell; or a new and continuous cough, should arrange testing using the UK Government Citizens’ Portal at: https://www.nhs.uk/ask-for-a-coronavirus-test or by calling 0800 028 2816.

There are a number of useful resources available for parents in Fife, with information on how best to reduce the chances of your family contracting the virus and what you should do if someone in the household develops symptoms.
