100Th Pneumo Study

The PNEUMO Study is an epidemiological study recruiting patients admitted to hospital with community acquired pneumonia (CAP). This Europe-wide study will significantly improve our understanding of pneumonia, and hopes to inform future improved vaccines to prevent pneumonia in the first place.

Also in the context of community acquired pneumonia, the RECOVERY study set-up initially for COVID initially now offers steroids as a treatment option. This UK-wide study will answer the question of whether steroids in addition to antibiotics improves outcomes.
