Reserves Day is being celebrated on Wednesday 25 June. Today, we're proudly recognising and celebrating the dedication of armed forces reservists - especially those who are part of our own NHS family.
Reservists give up their spare time to serve in the Reserve Forces, balancing their civilian life with a military career to ensure that should their country require them, they would be ready to serve as part of the military. Reservists are currently supporting operations worldwide.
We are honoured to work alongside colleagues who serve both our communities and our country. Their commitment, resilience, and skills enrich our workforce and inspire us all.
Diane Davie is a pharmacy technician with NHS Fife and medical reservist in the Royal Air Force (RAF) with 612 squadron at Leuchars. She says there are clear transferable skills. You can listen to Diane talking about both roles and find out more about NHS Fife's Silver Award status in the Defence Employer recognition scheme on our Partnerships page.
