You can access free online education courses to learn more about diabetes by visiting the My Diabetes My Way eLearning Website. These courses will be especially useful if you've just been diagnosed, or want to know more about any of these topics:

Diabetes UK Scotland
Diabetes UK Scotland have produced an education pack for those newly diagnosed with type 2 diabetes which you can order by contacting the Diabetes Scotland helpline 0141 212 8710.
Diabetes Directory
The ‘Diabetes Directory’ is an information leaflet produced by the NHS Fife Diabetes Patient Group which includes contacts and local support options for people living with diabetes in Fife and can be found on the Diabetes page of the NHS Fife website.
Patient Education for people living with type 1 diabetes in Fife
Type 1 diabetes patient education is provided through the hospital diabetes service.
Fife Patient Education for people at risk of developing type 2 diabetes
Let's Prevent Diabetes is a group education programme which supports you to reduce your risk of developing type 2 diabetes. Click on this link for more information.
Phase 1 – Control IT: For people newly diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes
‘Control IT’ is an interactive education session run by NHS Fife Diabetes Specialist Dietitians which is designed to:
- Answer any questions and discuss any concerns you may have about your diabetes
- Give you the information and support about making lifestyle changes
- Increase your confidence in managing your diabetes
You can choose to attend a ‘Control It’ session online via Microsoft Teams or face to face in a community venue.

Active Options is a physical activity programme for people in Fife who have a long term health condition. The aim of the programme is to get you moving a bit more and to improve your strength and balance. The classes are of different levels and you will be referred to the level appropriate to your needs and ability.
