Relaxation and mindfulness

Although not one and the same, relaxation and mindfulness can both be helpful strategies in managing persistent pain. Learn more about them in this section. When learning new skills, it is important to set aside regular time to practice, and to allow yourself time to learn. It can take some time to fully embed these skills into your life, especially if they don't come naturally to you.
