Pre-assessment appointments happen before your surgery. On occasion you may be offered a cancellation slot at short notice. The assessment may include blood tests and an ECG so please wear appropriate clothing.
Assessments can take up to an hour or longer. Please have your breakfast or lunch before coming to the clinic and bring all your normal medicines. Alternatively, you may choose to bring all medications to your appointment.
Your surgeon may be in attendance. They may complete the consent form for the operation with you. It will be helpful if you bring with you the following items:
- Reading glasses and hearing aids as you may be asked to fill out a questionnaire.
- A current list of all medications, including herbal remedies.
