About me
I have been a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon since 2007, specialising in knee surgery and sports injuries. My NHS practice is in the National Treatment Centre in NHS Fife, and privately at Spire Shawfair Park Hospital.
I am experienced in all aspects of knee surgery and knee replacement, with a particular interest in arthroscopic surgery including ligament reconstruction, cartilage repair and reconstruction, and meniscal surgery.
I graduated from Edinburgh University and after surgical training in Aberdeen and Newcastle,
I undertook specialist knee surgery in Newcastle upon Tyne and Edinburgh. I have a number of research interests, and continue to teach both surgeons in training, and medical students. Outside of work, I play the trombone and am a member of Lochgelly Brass Band.
