Sometimes after a consultation, it may be agreed that no treatment is necessary at the current time.
However, if the clinician believes that a further referral for the same condition is likely in the future, or they feel that you are not quite ready for the treatment, you will be placed on the Patient inititated review pathway. This just means that you will be given a number to make an appointment for the same condition at a later date without having to visit your GP and being referred again.
