Eating, drinking and shopping

Aroma Coffee Shop

Located near the Main entrance offers a selection of hot and cold rolls, soups, sandwiches drinks and snacks. All profits from this café are reinvested in patient care.


Opening times

Monday to Thursday: 8.30am–17.00pm
Friday: 8.30am–16.00pm

RVS Café and shop

Located at the entrance to Phase 1

Opening times

Monday to Friday: 09.00 till late
Weekends: Mornings till late

Staff and public dining room

Located in Phase 1 for use of staff and public, the dining room offers hot and cold food for breakfast and lunch and is open for drinks and snacks.

Opening Times

Monday to Friday:8.30am–14.30pm
Offers cooked breakfasts and filled rolls,

Lunches from 11.30am–14.00pm

Accessible toilets

Accessible toilets are available in the main reception area.

 

Baby feeding and changing facility

A baby feeding and changing facility is available in the main reception area.

Carnegie Unit Services

Patients with appointments to attend the Carnegie Unit should book in directly at the Carnegie Unit reception on Level 3.

Cash machine

A free to use cash machine is available in main reception area.

Chapel

The Sanctuary provides a quiet, safe place for people of all faiths and those who hold no particular faith. It is available to the whole hospital community, including patients, staff, volunteers and visitors.

Changing Places facility

Ground floor close to the standard accessible toilets.

There is a changing places facility on the ground floor close to the standard accessible toilets on site.  These are useful for people with profound and multiple learning disabilities and people who need extra space and facilities to use toilets comfortably. They feature height adjustable changing benches and a hoist.

The Friends of Queen Margaret Hospital

The Friends of Queen Margaret Hospital are a registered charity and raise funds for the patients and staff at Queen Margaret through craft sales, commissions and donations. New volunteers are always required and made most welcome.

'The Haven' Garden

‘The Haven’ garden is open to all and provides a peaceful space for patients, families, visitors and staff to take time to quietly reflect and relax. Located in a courtyard near to X-ray on level 1, 'The Haven' can most easily be accessed through Phase 2 Main Entrance. 

The garden is beautifully maintained by volunteers from Queen Margaret Haven Garden Group. Find out more about their work at:

Main reception desk and self service check-in

Patients should attend the main reception desk if outlined in their appointment letter, where reception staff will assist patients to ‘book in’.

Meet and greet volunteers

Meet and greet volunteers are occasionally based at the main entrance, providing a warm welcome to patients and visitors.

Our volunteers assist patients and visitors in finding their way about and can also provide information on different topics.

Wifi

NHS Fife Patient Wifi is available across all of our hospitals, meaning that patients and visitors can access free internet whilst they spend time in waiting areas or during a stay with us. There is no need to register to use this service.

Wheelchair available from the wheelchair park at the main entrance.
