Drug-related deaths have been on an upward trend for the past decade across the UK, with Scotland seeing drug misuse deaths increase by 4.5 times since 2000. Supported by the UK Office for Life Sciences (OLS) and the Scottish Government Chief Scientist Office, through the Scottish Health Industry Partnership (SHIP), funding is being provided to support innovators to accelerate the development and deployment of disruptive solutions to prevent drug related deaths and harm from overdoses.
