NHS Dental Services: COVID-19 Response - Notice for our patient
Routine dental care services in high street practices in Scotland have been suspended.
If you feel you have an URGENT dental need, in normal working hours, you should contact the practice, who will provide advice, reassurance through telephone assessment.
DO NOT GO TO YOUR DENTAL PRACTICE – you should telephone your practice on their usual number. Your dentist will be able to give you advice, including on taking pain relief or prescribe antibiotics.
- If your dentist confirms that you have an urgent dental need, if you are have no symptoms of COVID-19, you will be offered an appointment at an urgent dental care centre. Your dentist will ring the service on your behalf.
- If you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 your dentist will contact the urgent dental centre advice line. You will be contacted by staff from the designated COVID-19 urgent dental care centre.
Outside normal working hours, if feel you have an URGENT dental need, please contact NHS24 by dialling 111.
