NHS Fife can confirm that an individual linked to Sinclairtown Primary School in Kirkcaldy has tested positive for COVID-19.

The positive case continues to have mild symptoms and remains isolating at home with other household members. There continues to be no evidence of any onward transmission within the school at this stage and the risk to pupils and staff remains low.

As a precaution all pupils from class P1A, P4 and some pupils in P2 have been asked to stay off school from tomorrow (21/09/20) and self isolate.

Anyone who develops any of the established symptoms of the virus, such as a fever; or a loss or change in taste or smell; or a new and continuous cough, should arrange testing using the UK Government Citizens’ Portal at: https://www.nhs.uk/ask-for-a-coronavirus-test or by calling 0800 028 2816.
