ThFLAMINGO Study is a Scotland-wide project which seeks to get a fuller understanding of parent and carer’s experience when a sick child requires a short admission to hospital. The research team is keen to hear the experiences of parents and carers in Fife whose child has required an unplanned short-stay admission within the last five years. By short stay, team are interested in admissions that are less than 24 hrs.

The project is being led by Professor Steve Turner, a child healthcare expert at the University of Aberdeen and a consultant paediatrician with NHS Grampian. Professor Turner said: “The FLAMINGO Project is an excellent opportunity for families to have their say on how services for sick kids should look in future.
